Ideas, reflections, and emerging issues on patient safety

Dr Suzette Woodward is currently Director of Patient Safety at the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA). Suzette is a qualified paediatric intensive care nurse who worked for many years in the paediatric intensive care unit at Guys Hospital.  Suzette has also worked at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Hamilton Hospital Bermuda, the Department of Health and now the NPSA.  She has a doctorate in patient safety and an MSc in Clinical Risk.  She was the Implementation Director for the second year of Patient Safety First and co-designed the ’10 for 2010’ patient safety programme.
